According to the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA), a European digital identity could have “significant and positive impacts” on how client identity is verified in the continent’s online gambling market. This comes after the European Commission (EC) proposed an electronic identity wallet to allow EU citizens to access public and private services online.
