Soulstice´s music is unquestionably alive, bursting with optimism and emotion, of celebration and salvation. The band – Gabriel Rene, Andy Caldwell, and Mei–Lwun Yee, craft tapestries of melodies and grooves that range in influence from the rhythms of old delta blues to the vibrant tempos of house and hip–hop. Front woman Gina Rene infuses the proceedings with her unique, earthy jazz singing vibe, one moment vocalizing feelings of loneliness and love over DJ scratches, strings and cosmically emotive guitars, the next having her poetic musings buoyed by keyboards and rhythmic dance beats.
